The history of the Walton and Frinton Yacht Club can be traced back to 1908 but it was in 1920 that the club took the current name and location at Walton on the Naze.
The 18ft One-Design shown here was very similar to the Essex One-Design discussed earlier and a number of these were built for the club by Brooke and Halls of Walton on the Naze. This company became Frank Halls & Son in the late 1920’s or early 30’s and are still in business today.
Three of these boats still survive today. White Heather, Bilanbil and Surf.
