The Morgan Giles Register Pulling Dinghy

A great number of Rowing Dinghies were designed and built at the Morgan Giles yard over the years in addition to the sailing dinghies shown in the other section.  Some, as the one shown here were designed for other builders.  It is quite difficult to define these in the job book as they went under many different names such as Pulling Boat, Pulling Dinghy, Dinghy, Pram, Rowing Pram, Rowing Punt and Rowboat. All no doubt to a different design to suit the customers requirements. These were made as tenders to the bigger boats or just as pleasure craft for messing around on the river, some were made as apprentice pieces.  Some have survived and show the care put into these were just the same as all the boats produced at the Morgan Giles yard.
