Emily II was built for Sir Ernest Roney who was an Olympic Yachtsman.  He raced Emily II very successfully in many of the Regattas taking place at that time achieving many 1st 2nd and 3rd places against the contemporary yachts at the time such as Hispania VI.

She changed hands a number of times but there is no record after 1957.  She is known to have gone to the States at some time and was sailed in the San Diego area.  She finished up in a small Marina north of San Diego where she was due to be refurbished. The owner died however and the boat was eventually broken up.

The Tabernacle and Build plate for EMILY II were saved and procured by Reinhard Friede who kindly donated them to the Teign Heritage Centre, Teignmouth, Devon.
