Built in 1929 and previously owned by the Monserrat family. Denys Monserrat who was the effective rather than the formal owner, died in 1944, and his Mother gave CLYTIE to Angela Hoyle (nee Wood), as Angela and Denys had been great friends.

CLYTIE spent many years off the water before Mr Gaskell generously gave her to the Trearddur Bay Sailing Club in 1990 in the hope she could be restored - in 1992 restoration work was put in hand by Alun Jones, with financial support from the Dorothy Downing Fund.
