Monaco Fortuna was originally fitted with two Lister TS3 110 hp engines. She competed in the International Cowes Torquay race in 1961 and was one of nine finishers amongst a starting line of 25, being the only boat to keep going at full throttle for the whole race.
After the race she ws converted to a standard Monaco Cruiser and sold to a Mr James Trigg and based in Jersey
Monaco Fortuna has recently been purchased and is undergoing refurbishment.
Regretably Monaco Fortuna proved too much of a challenge and is no longer viable as a refurbishment project. Some of her timbers and other parts will be saved and go towards the restoration of PHILANTI III.
